Rule 66
Opening and closing of customs offices
(1) The head of the customs office shall post a notice on the notice board of the customs office for the information of the general public regarding the opening and closing times of the customs office.
(2) Based on the convenience of the customer or the workload of the office, the head of the customs office may make necessary arrangements to work before or after the regular office hours or on public holidays or even when the office is closed.
(3) If it is deemed necessary locally to provide convenience to the customer or to simplify the export or import operations, the head of the customs office may, with the prior approval of the Director General, make necessary arrangements to close the office on non-public holidays or to open the office on public holidays.
(4) In case the office is closed or opened according to sub-rule (3), the head of the customs office shall publish the notice in the national level daily newspaper and post it in the customs office.
(5) If there is a request from the terminal management company at the customs office in the dry port where the train service is available, arrangements should be made to work and release the train before the office hours so as not to burden the business with the delay fee (demurrage) due to the train being stopped.
